Consultancy
Broadly speaking, our consultancy work falls into the following areas:

Project Management
For many companies they want someone to manage the IT side of a project, or in some cases the whole project. We have worked on many projects with our clients, both large and small, in a variety of different roles. We are often required to work with other contractors where each has their own area of responsibility and expertise.
Although we usually work on the IT side of projects, we can often manage entire projects (for example an office move), taking the pressure off out client's staff.
Take a look at our Case Studies for examples of some projects we have worked on and managed.

Research and Planning
A lot of consultancy-based work is about research and planning. In many cases a company has defined a need but doesn't know if an IT solution exists or how to implement it. We can often help by advising on possible options and solutions.
Auditing
It is often the case that the first task to be done is to make a complete record of a company's existing IT systems. How comprehensive the audit is will depend on requirements but at the least it will give an overview of the existing systems as they stand.
Disaster Recovery
Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity; something that all businesses, no matter what their size or nature of business, need to take seriously.
We're not just talking about catastrophes such as fire or flood (although these are important) but some far more frequent occurrences. Consider the following:
- Equipment failure (such as a hard drive failing)
- Accidental deletion of data
- Malicious deletion of data
- Loss of Internet Connectivity
- Loss of email
- Loss of Telephone services
- Catastrophic damage to equipment and/or office (e.g. fire, flood, vandalism etc.)

- Multiple Internet connections with automatic fail-over
- Offsite backup
- Spare equipment
- Cloud-based email continuity
- Telephone call forwarding options
- Hosted voice-over-IP telephones
- Hosted Email
Telephony
Fixed line
Being the most common form of telephony SCS excel in this area having provided and serviced a range of fixed line 'in house' systems in the past and have current installations at multiple customer sites. We can provide the lines, call rates and even the phone system to make this a complete package which can be managed by the customer after training and installation or SCS can manage and support companies providing an easy method for customers to not need to worry if a trained member of staff is available when changes are required.
Hosted
This is relatively new territory for most businesses as it is for SCS but after partnering and being a reseller for the UK's "best value for money" provider of hosted phone services we are so confident of this new product we can provide that we even switched to it ourselves. We can offer a range of solutions with amazing features far beyond what any standard phone system can and has ever been able to. This system also provides our customers who have IT support contracts with an extra benefit of being able to get direct access to our support engineers in a much more user friendly way by being able to direct message them to resolve issues through the desktop software provided with this system.
Mobile
Our mobile tariffs are a good way to drive down costs and admin overheads of dealing with yet another 3rd party for your mobile requirements. You will enjoy the same superior service we offer as all requests and support calls for the mobiles will come through to us. As mobile devices are so popular as a way to communicate via email, instant messenger and of course voice and SMS we feel this is an invaluable service to add when considering SCS.
